A new study involving UVA professor Aidong Zhang finds that even advanced large language models fall short on key measures of safety and trustworthiness in medicine, underscoring the need for human oversight before AI is widely used in patient care.
UVA professor David Danks has been named a 2026 AI2050 Senior Fellow by Schmidt Sciences, one of six researchers worldwide chosen for this honor.
